THE 2019 AIPP STATE LANDSCAPE PHOTOGRAPHER OF THE YEAR
THE WINNER RECEIVES A CERTIFICATE, TROPHY AND $250 CASH.
This category is intended for landscape images that depict the natural or urban environment. Entries may be literal or interpretative. Judges in this category are asked to consider both traditional and contemporary values, photographic technique, print quality, composition and light.
The Landscape category will be judged in three sections:
- Landscape Open
- Landscape Single Capture
- Landscape Aerial.
The category is judged in three sections to assist the judges in their assessment; however, there is only one award.
CATEGORY RULES AND REQUIREMENTS
In addition to the general rules stipulated on page 4:
- Entries into this category may be commissioned or self-commissioned.
- Photographs must depict or imply the natural or human/urban environment.
- Polyptychs (diptychs, triptychs, etc.) are permitted in all three sections.
Entrants may utilise all post-production techniques, including multiple images or elements, in producing their entry.
Landscape Single Capture:
This section is intended to reward technical and creative excellence in photographing and presenting an authentic representation of a scene, without the benefit of creative compositing techniques (see Core Rule 5 on page 5).
Entrants may utilise all post-production techniques, including multiple images or elements, in producing their entry. All aerial landscape images must be entered in this section for judging. Aerial images are considered to be taken from, but not limited to, the following:
- Fixed wing aircraft
- Hot air balloon.
